The Central Linn School Board convened in a Special Session on February 27th, and approved an Acting Superintendent Contract. On behalf of the Central Linn School District, we are pleased to welcome Acting Superintendent Cathy Hurowitz, who will be serving in this role March 3rd through June 30th, 2025. Mrs. Hurowitz steps in following Superintendent Pelt’s resignation, ensuring a smooth transition and continued leadership for the District.

With a strong background in education and educational leadership, Hurowitz brings extensive experience and a deep commitment to student success. Her focus during this interim period will be to maintain the district’s commitment to excellence in education while working closely with our leadership team, staff, and the community.

Further discussions regarding the search for a permanent superintendent will take place in the coming months. The Board is dedicated to conducting a thorough and transparent process to find the right leader for the District’s future. CLSD appreciates the Cobra community’s support during this time of transition and looks forward to working alongside Mrs. Hurowitz in continuing to provide a positive education experience for all students.
