A letter from our 2024/2025 Vice Principal and Athletic Director, Mr. Hobie:

Hello Central Linn families

I am thrilled to be named the new Vice Principal and Athletic Director for Central Linn Jr/Sr High School for the 2024-2025 school year!

Before accepting this job with Central Linn I have been a teacher for the past 11 years as well as a coach for 20. Currently, I am the Student Success Coordinator at Churchill High School in Eugene as well as an assistant baseball coach at South Eugene High School. My professional background primarily lies in physical education and health, subjects I’ve taught at all three levels of education before transitioning into my current role at Churchill.

Prior to entering the field of education, I graduated from North Eugene High School and continued to Lane Community College, followed by Missouri Western State University, where I earned my bachelor's degree in physical education while also playing collegiate baseball. After concluding my athletic career, I transitioned into coaching immediately and haven’t stopped since. I received my Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Western Oregon University, and later, my Administration License from the University of Oregon in 2020.

My wife Jackie and I live in Eugene where we were both born and raised. We are proud parents of two children, aged 12 and 4. Our son Scotty (12) is becoming quite the baseball player himself and our daughter Vivian (4) has started dance class.

I am genuinely excited to join the Central Linn community and eager to get to work! I look forward to building relationships with not only students and faculty but also with community members. I am looking forward to the 2024-2025 school year!

 Go Cobras!
