FINANCIAL INFORMATION
The bond measure would authorize new property taxes which would provide the funding for the proposed projects. Property owners would pay $1.89 per $1,000 of assessed property value. The owner of a home assessed at $157,210 would pay $24.76 per month or $297.12 per year. The new property tax would raise $34,550,000 over a period of 20 years. LEARN MORE
The District was awarded a prospective $6 million State grant, which would be available if the measure is passed.
Yes – CLSD has received the following grant funding in recent years:
- Federal ESSER Funding: The District received $800,000 in ESSER funding that was applied to the construction of the CTE Building.
- 2022: A $2.5 million grant from the Business Oregon Seismic Grant Rehabilitation Program funded structural upgrades and a roof replacement to the Cobra Dome and Auditorium/Cafeteria.
- 2020: A $2.5 million grant from the Business Oregon Seismic Grant Rehabilitation Program funded structural upgrades and a roof replacement for the Elementary Library
- 2019: The District received $700,000 from the State of Oregon Christmas Tree Bill to purchase and install the 400 Wing (Factory-Built) Building.
CLSD’s last school bond was passed in 1996 and expired in 2011. Currently, residents within the CLSD boundary pay $0 toward a school bond. As of 2024, neighboring school districts pay the following approximate amounts per $1,000 assessed value toward their school bonds:
