PROPOSED 2025 MAY BOND
In 2024, a group of 20 community volunteers formed the Community Bond Advisory Committee to evaluate the district’s facility priorities. Through comprehensive assessments and community feedback, the committee identified priority projects and focused on safe and effective learning environments. The committee made its recommendation to the Board of Directors, who passed a resolution to refer the bond measure to voters.
If Measure 22-210 passes, the school district would sell bonds to fund projects at Central Linn High School and Elementary School. The money raised from the bonds would be repaid using tax revenue from a new property tax. The taxes would provide funds to:
- Remodel the Cobra Dome Gymnasium and Auditorium
- Demolish aging 1950s classroom wings and replace them with a secure, accessible facility featuring modern learning spaces, a dedicated kitchen, cafeteria, and locker rooms
- Upgrade safety, security, and accessibility district-wide
- Replace electrical systems
- Remove asbestos
- Upgrade the Career and Technical Education (CTE) building, including interior shop and learning spaces
- Enhance stormwater management
- Renovate the Elementary School, including new windows, flooring, roofing, and exterior and interior painting
- Expand and upgrade restrooms
- Address site projects, demolition, furnishings, and equipment priorities
If passed, the measure would provide $34.55 million for school improvements, including:
- Replacing deteriorating 1950s classroom wings at the high school
- Safety and security upgrades at both schools
- Upgrading Career & Technical Education (CTE) spaces
- Updating the elementary school (roofing, windows, restrooms, stormwater management)
- Upgrading electrical systems and removing asbestos
