Free Books for Pre-Schoolers

Central Linn School District is an affiliate of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library whose goal is to guarantee access to books and encourage parents to read to their children as much as possible.

Studies have shown that children who are read to from a very early age, arrive at kindergarten with better learning and reading readiness skills — an advantage that boosts confidence and academic achievement throughout their school years.  

Children aged birth to 5 years who live within the school district boundaries are eligible (zip codes 97327 (Brownsville), 97348 (Halsey), and 97377 (Shedd)). Each child registered will receive one age-appropriate book a month, mailed directly to their home. If you have more than one child in the accepted age range, please register each one separately. Your child should start receiving books in eight to ten weeks.
