Family Services Coordinator
Displaced / Homeless / Families in Transition (McKinney-Vento)
There are two Clothing Closets maintained by the Family Services/Wellness Program. One is located at the Elementary School, and the other is housed in the High School. Both offer a wide variety of items ranging from tops and bottoms to shoes/socks and undergarments. Most clothing is gently used but some is new. We also have a wide range of hygiene products available (shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, toothbrushes, etc.).
In addition to our local donations, every fall we receive a large number of new winter coats and hoodies from ENTEK of Lebanon. This is a great addition to our Clothing Closets and definitely helps to keep our children warm during the cold winter months. We also receive grants from the OEA (Oregon Education Association) Foundation which enable us to purchase clothing or other items when the Clothing Closet does not have what is needed.
The Clothing Closets are open during school hours, and everyone is eligible to use them.
Back to School Bonanza
Students who are experiencing homelessness must be provided with transportation to and from their school of origin. The term school of origin means the school that a child or youth attended when permanently housed or the school in which the child or youth was last enrolled.
If you believe your child/children are eligible for transportation assistance, please contact Audrey at 541-973-1890.
